“Once we recognize we can feel deeply, we can love deeply, we can feel joy, then we will demand that all parts of our lives produce that kind of joy.”— Audre Lorde

I support youth and families by:
Working with the whole family system to support the wellness of the whole. I have been working with children and adolescents for 26 years and what I have come to know through my practice and personal journey parenting is that each member of the family contributes to the dynamic of the family system. The whole constellation of the family is the foundation for understanding how to move forward.
Working with multiple family members (parents, siblings, parent and child/teen) to support the whole family.
Building skills as a family to work better together, build stronger bonds and find a new rhythm of what it can mean to be in family together.
I support individual clients with:
Space and time to process all that is present and persistent.
Managing stress and anxiety
Processing difficult and stuck patterns
Identify goals and next steps
Family constellation and family of origin dynamics
Connection and meaning
Therapy can be a place where you can unload the weight you have been carrying and reflect on what you need. It can feel hard to get to this place. I support individuals to identify their hopes and examine the parts that are getting in the way of these hopes but serving some function. We will explore these parts together. I support individual clients with helpful tools and strategies to move what might be stuck and envision a different narrative from here.

I support couples with:
Communication
Understanding patterns and dynamics influencing and impacting the relationship.
Navigating marriage while also supporting and raising children
Building and nurturing the bond
Creating meaningful connection
Feeling stuck, hurt , frustrated or all the other things that can come up in the relationship with your partner can feel overwhelming. I help couples identify patterns, dynamics and learned habits of relating that interfere with the desired relationship. I work to help each partner understand how these pieces are showing up in the relationship and possibly hindering what they would like to be true about the relationship with one another. Just like the family process, each member of the couple has their part in the process of growing better together.
I enjoy thinking about different ways to engage in a therapy and the healing process and encourage time in our sessions to engage in these ways. I have found that being engaged in the actions of daily life create valuable opportunities for therapeutic moments. These include play, walking and hiking, connecting with animals, cooking, singing dancing and being in community. Having opportunities to move the stressors of life through us creates more space for healing, resoration and resilience in times of difficulty. I look forward to exploring these possibilities with you.
